Terms of Use

Plain English. The terms below govern your use of 1765 Sanctum Co. — this website, the free Catholic tools, The Sanctum Dispatch newsletter, the Sanctum app, and the Brotherhood Pass. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

1765 Sanctum Co. ("Sanctum," "we," "us") is a brand operated under 1765 Apparel Co LLC, a Georgia-registered limited liability company. We publish a Catholic-formation YouTube channel, a weekly newsletter (The Sanctum Dispatch), free interactive Catholic tools, and a paid sustaining-membership tier (the Brotherhood Pass). Contact: will@1765sanctum.com.

Use of the site and tools

The Sanctum website and its free tools are offered for personal, devotional, and educational use. You may read, print, and share them for non-commercial purposes with attribution. You agree not to misuse the site — no attempts to breach security, scrape at a rate that degrades service for others, resell access, or use the tools to harm anyone.

Theological and pastoral content — what this is, and is not

Sanctum's content cites the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture, the ecumenical councils, the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, and magisterial documents of the Holy See. We aim for theological precision and log and correct errors publicly when found. Even so, the tools and writings here are aids to formation, not a substitute for the Sacraments, for the teaching authority of the Church, for your parish priest or spiritual director, or — where life, health, or grave crisis is involved — for a physician, counselor, or emergency services. The Examination of Conscience, the Vigil deathbed companion, and similar tools are devotional guides; in any emergency, call a priest and the appropriate professionals directly.

The Sanctum Dispatch newsletter

Subscribing to The Sanctum Dispatch is free and voluntary. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time. How we handle your email is described in our Privacy Policy.

The Sanctum app and accounts

The Sanctum app uses a passwordless, one-time sign-in link tied to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. The Confession Vault and other on-device features encrypt data on your own device; as described in the Privacy Policy, certain data never reaches us and cannot be recovered by us if you lose your device or PIN.

The Brotherhood Pass and payments

The Brotherhood Pass is a paid, recurring sustaining membership that unlocks the deeper formation tools. Billing is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period; we do not pro-rate partial periods. Conversion tools and crisis tools (such as the deathbed companion) are always free and are never placed behind the Pass. The first fifteen Founding Brothers receive the Pass free for life in exchange for structured feedback, as described on the Brotherhood Pass page.

Donations

Gifts made through our Support page are voluntary and, except where required by law, non-refundable. 1765 Sanctum Co. is currently a brand of 1765 Apparel Co LLC and is not a 501(c)(3); donations are not tax-deductible unless and until tax-exempt status is obtained and stated.

Intellectual property

The Sanctum name, the mark, the tagline "Altar. Arms. Allegiance.", the original sacred art, the written content, and the design of the tools are the property of 1765 Sanctum Co. / 1765 Apparel Co LLC, except for the primary-source texts we quote (Scripture, the Catechism, magisterial documents, public-domain works), which belong to their sources. You may quote and share our content with attribution and a link; you may not republish it wholesale, sell it, or present it as your own.

Third-party links and services

We link to and rely on third parties — among them the Holy See's website (vatican.va), YouTube, Beehiiv, Resend, Stripe, and Cloudflare. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The site, tools, app, and content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every citation is free of typographical error (though we correct errors when found). To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1765 Sanctum Co. and 1765 Apparel Co LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, the tools, or the app.

Changes

We may update these terms as the brand grows. The "Updated" date at the top is the source of truth; material changes will be noted in the Dispatch.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
